Faqs

Why should I work with a you instead of booking it on my own?

If your time is limited, or you find the complexities of research and booking overwhelming, it can be a relief to work with someone who can take that all off your hands. I’ve also been lucky enough to have traveled extensively and can suggest things you may not be aware are options available to you. I can also make recommendations based off of personal experience!

will i get to be involved in the planning?

Of course! You can be involved as much or as little as you would like, but either way your input is the most important part of the process. You are not simply buying a preplanned package. Instead, we’ll be collaborating on every detail of your trip, to ensure it fits your vision, interests, and budget. If something’s not quite working for you, I’ll tweak it until it does.

how long does the planning process take?

It takes me an average of three weeks to craft a custom itinerary and collect any necessary personal information and deposits. The complexity of your trip, the length of time you’ll be away, and how quickly you can provide feedback will impact the amount of time I will need.

can i see a sample ITINERARY?

Yes, but keep in mind this is just a moderate cost level sample and your custom itinerary would be tailored just for you based on your unique interests and budget.

Will it be cheaper to book through you than it would be to book a tour?

It depends on the type of travel you’re interested in and the size of your group. More often than not my itineraries come in under what you would pay to join a tour and you get a better overall experience. That said, my focus isn’t savings. I focus on maximizing your time away by filling it with everything you want to experience while staying within your budget.

Charging a service fee means that my focus is never on commission or kick-backs of any kind so rest assured that any suggestions I make are solely based off of my desire to match you with the accommodations, experiences, and transportation options that best sync with YOUR vacation vision.

How much does a typical trip cost?

There are so many variable to consider that it’s impossible for me to say. What I can promise is that I will work with you to determine the right balance between budget and your vacation vision.

will you help me figure out the travel requirements for my trip?

Yes, of course! I will research and provide all the information you will need to make sure your trip goes smoothly. I will also recommend travel insurance to protect your vacation investments and make clear all policies related to cancellations and re-booking.
